Drake Skulls and Thumbsticks

Ideas for Ordinary World often come in little clusters and at weird times of the day or night. Last night two ideas for objects in Ordinary World dropped into my head, so I quickly sketched them for you.

Drake Skull Helmet

The Giant Drake is a huge duck that can be found in the wetlands of Ordinary World.

It's skull makes an excellent item of protective headgear complete with visor. Giant Drakes are both fearsome and uncommon so a helmet of this type is rather rare. Those that do exist are often furnished with decorative stones polished and set in the eye sockets and plumes of duck feathers.

Stricken Thumbsticks

There are many strange and wonderful foods in Ordinary World. Some are sweet and delicious, some are quite literally rotten and some are considered illegal in many communities. The Stricken Thumbstick is one of the most contraband foods in Ordinary World. It is quite literally the severed thumb of a human, covered in a spicy sticky marinade and grilled to perfection. A delicacy amongst those who take pride in flaunting the law and scaring their fellow humans. Only the meanest eat their thumbstick right down to an including the thumbnail.
